I haven't been posting much recently since a draft of my book is due to the publisher by 9/30. However, people may find of interest this interview by an acquaintance with Victor Davis Hanson about the Newsweek article.

On a loosely related note, one of my personal favorite insults I've ever read is about Naill Ferguson.
Time magazine in 2004 named Ferguson one of the 100 most influential people in the world, which might help to explain the condition of the world.

What are you writing a book on?
It’s relatively easy to agree that only Homo sapiens can speak about things that don’t really exist, and believe six impossible things before breakfast. You could never convince a monkey to give you a banana by promising him limitless bananas after death in monkey heaven.

It's a popular history of GPS, which as an editor of a prominent GPS magazine wrote to my co-author, hasn't been available until now. We sent a draft to our editor two weeks ago and are waiting for a response. It would be great if the book was published in time for the opening of the Time and Navigation exhibit at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum next March, but I doubt if things will move that quickly (I met with a couple of the people working on the exhibit in March 2011 to discuss my research).

Very cool; be sure to let us know when it is out!

Mitt will never be bothered by such a tally of broken promises. He wisely promises all things to all people.

Has anyone brought up broken promises by Vivian Malone or James Hood to cross the threshold of the Foster Building at the University of Alabama in under a minute, thereby setting an unpresidented record? Bet they would falsely accuse Governor George Wallace of hindering their efforts and then draw the spurious analogy between Governor Wallace blocking the doorway and the Republican Congress blocking President Obama's efforts.

Kevin Graham wrote:More false priests preaching the same lies to the same choir.

Dailybeast? Really?

Actually, its Niall Ferguson and Newsweek.

You guys keep deluding yourselves by focusing on these anti-Obama sources that do nothing but twist and lie. Check out Politifact's...

Now, Kevin just said:

How many times do we have to prove it is a useless source before you guys stop using it?

Politifact? Really? Poltifact is now well known as a leftost, in-the-tank-for-Obama spin group that churns out "fact checks" that are, for the most part, matters of interpretation. At least Graham didn't use the Soros-funded Factcheck.org this time.

This is actually astonishing given the unprecedented level of hostility this President has to face every day with this Tea Party congress.

This congress isn't anything like what the Tea Party would like to see.

The purging of American government of its infestation of neo-Marxists, neo-Communists, Alinskyites, eco-fascists, green totalitarians, racists and thugocrats will probably never even occur, but that's what the tea party is all about.
