Perhaps a sub, hoagie, grinder, po'boy, or hero, in the vernacular of the populace qua populace.

I keep having to remind myself that both reading comprehension levels and general educational levels here are plateaued at around seventh to eighth grade, so, now and then, I need to make explicit reference to some of the terms I use that more mature, educated people will be quite familiar with.

And the best way to do that is ironically sell the ideology as somehow actually part of Christ's gospel.
Thus is born "supply side Jesus" who hates or barely tolerates the poor, glorifies Randian selfishness and blesses his favorites, the venture capitalists, investment bankers and those clever fellows that create false need through advertizing (not just De Beers but all the little things like those gold coin scams and stupid and dishonest homeopathic hormone boosters promoted constantly on Hannity's radio show).
These men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles.

What was that thing about serving both God and mammon?

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Droopy, might you try going for a walk in the fresh air? Maybe you could take a break from Mormonism for a while. Take up baking or racquetball.

Well, since I've never attempted to do any such thing, I'll move on from your straw man point.

If the next claims are asserted to be about anything I've ever taught or asserted here then

Thus is born "supply side Jesus" who hates or barely tolerates the poor,

CFR

glorifies Randian selfishness and blesses his favorites, the venture capitalists, investment bankers

CFR

and those clever fellows that create false need through advertizing

This is a cultural Marxist bromide, and belongs neither in the gospel or within serious political economy.

What was that thing about serving both God and mammon?

I don't know. Your own arguments are so convoluted and confused I'm not sure who's serving what or why.

I saw this today:

Distance yourself, Droopy, from the negative outlook you have on Mormonism. It is destructive behavior to continue your fight against people that are trying their best to live out from under the shadow of Smaug (Correlation).
