You're talking to the choir. I once left the Church primarily because of the Priesthood ban, I know everything about it, because I now know more, it wasn't racist at all, at least by the Church. The ban existed because of the racism in the world at the time.
LOL!!
Please do everyone a favor and stay in the Church this time. This is precisely the kind of stupid thinking that prevails there. I'd worry about your safety out in the real world where tolerance for such stupidity is becoming thin.
Nothing is going to startle us more when we pass through the veil to the other side than to realize how well we know our Father [in Heaven] and how familiar his face is to us

I am so old that I can remember when most of the people promoting race hate were white.
What is it when a religious Organisation doesn't allow persons of a certain lineage, simply because of their lineage, the same rights and privileges within the organisation as other persons not from that lineage?
Whatever it is, unless its premised upon innate, inherent characteristics thought to make those persons innately inferior, it isn't racism.

Don't you mean the racist bigotry behind his essay, Beastie? That's what any adult of average intelligence would see if he were white, Jewish, or Asian. Why the double standard, Beastie?
In many ways, in history and yet today, white people simply get more general attention than African Americans.
What do you mean by this (and what is an "African American?)?
However, the tone was offensive and he should have provided more context for the purpose of the essay.
Its quite interesting to me that you don't seem able to tell the difference between an essay and a screed.
As far as critiquing the HuffPo for publishing this essay, I doubt that they've posted many essays of this sort. At least I haven't noticed any others. And I'll take your criticisms seriously the day you rag on WND for publishing Jerome Corsi. Here's one example of his idiocy:
Corsi is one of the original birthers, and I've never supported that particular assertion.

Un-freakin'-believable.

Oh, sorry. Maybe you just didn't notice that you were blathering on and on in response to a post that I had already clarified and walked back somewhat. I'm sure that wasn't intentional at all.

And away you run again. I'm used to this, Krose, not only from you but from a rather substantial number of leftists on this board (I haven't seen a single attempt at civil, critical discussion or analysis from Kishkumen in years) who get in over their heads by making bizarre, emotion-based statements that represent internal psychological material but not serious, critical thought, and then have to duck and run for cover when challenged philosophically. Don't bother attempting to adduce some counter-arguments to the extended argument I fielded above, as I'm quite aware that you have none to adduce.
But this has been a conspicuous pattern among the Left since about 1968, so nothing really to see here on that wise.

I really don't know. The races in the U.S. weren't as mixed back in the 1960s and 1970s as they are now in 2012. I can see why colleges and universities would use affirmative action back in the 1960s and 1970s, but I definitely cannot see why they need to use it now in 2012, since the races are more mixed, and we now have a President who is of African descent.

What is "the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints?" What happened to plain old "Mormon"? Oh, let me guess, only certain people get to decide what they'd rather be called. Others are being silly and demanding.
You're still an asshole, by the way. No more clicking on "display this post". That decision was a period of weakness of which I sincerely repent.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
