Embarrassing Mormon Moment

Post by _zeezrom »

I'm teaching a 2-day workshop for an engineering consulting firm. We are sitting in a conference room of 20 engineers, around a huge table. There is an overhead projector and my laptop screen is being displayed on the wall for everyone to see. I went to insert an image into my program when up pops thumbnails of all my awesome religious imagery! Here is a sampling of some of the images they all saw:

It was a little embarrassing...

Tony Stark needs to be suing Jesus for patent infringement for the chest-implanted nuclear power plant. Or the other way around.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

That is (by far) my favorite Jesus image.

Count your blessings, Zee.

My inadvertent religious images would have been more along the lines of:

Morley, I love your outlook on God, etc.

Things could have been different. What if they had seen all my Dior, Margiela, McQueen, and Miu Miu images?

Godiva, no?
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.
