I took up fine arts at Mercer County Community College in New Jersey. I really do enjoy these paintings; however, I seem them as more secular than religious. I do not view them as Mormon, as such.

The dude needs to take some remedial art classes. First of all, you can tell by the brush strokes that he drew the foreground characters first and then painted the background colors around them. . . an enormous no-no. Second, he clearly needs to find out what a "shadow" is. Third, outlining everything in black is a beginner's (but nevertheless huge) mistake. Fourth, he needs to learn what color the sky is.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Yes, because if we've learned anything in the art world over these last one hundred years, it's the ever-increasing trend towards realism.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

I suppose this means Pablo Picasso was also a beginner?

I'm curious to know what people think about mom's garment top in the OP. I instantly thought of the temple garment on a nursing Mormon mother.

Zeezrom,
I think the image certainly marks out a big difference in attitude towards Mary than is standard in medieval queen of heaven images. Mother and child are very human and the image respects the superiority of real mother child love over regal adornment. A person could wonder if they should become a Mormon.

I am not connecting this especially to temple garments. The clothing while nursing arrangement did not strike me as particular to Mormon clothing.
