Oh my gosh, guize! SRSLY.
I was banned without warning. I had to ask why after I tried to log on unsuccessfully. The reason was shared in PM so I can't really tell you why, now can I?

Fixed.
Yes, if we abused the same people they abuse on MDD, then he would love it over here.

She has the wrong friends and therefore can't be trusted.

I can't repeat specifics of what I saw, but there was a thread where Liz's reference to "Democrats Abroad in Taiwan" and Pahoran's reference to "white Chinese guys" were discussed. A few of the participants seemed excited and/or satisfied at Scratch finally being "outed." I don't recall anyone besides myself expressing doubts over the JE = Scratch identification; maybe Blixa.
I don't plan on returning to Liz's forum. I don't think it would be good for my health. I have no ill will against Liz, and I still think of her as a friend and wish her the best, even if I don't agree with the way she has chosen to run her forum as of late. While I understand the concerns being expressed over her role in trying to "out" Scratch, I think she's a damn fine moderator who has worked hard and generally played fair, and I'm sorry we're losing her (if we are losing her).
Cheers,

Jack may be right that I said something like that. I don't really remember. I have read posts by Chino Blanco/JE on message boards and blogs for, gosh, nearly a decade now. I can not conceive of a more random person to suspect being Scratch. There is nothing the two have in common whatsoever. Good God, even I am a better match for Scratch than J---- E-----.
I don't recall any more because it was about that time I quietly deleted my account on liz's board. I left without explanation and I don't think my leaving was even noticed for a few weeks. My decision was based on a worry I long had about being in a space with many of the same people I go out of my way to avoid here. I am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt, and I do think that people can and do communicate and behave differently in different spaces, so I waited to see how things developed. Things developed in a way I was not comfortable with, so I left.
I am curious who first came up with this ridiculous assertion and on what basis, because from what I know of both JE and Scratch it is absolutely ludicrous. This piques my interest purely because of its absurdist dimensions.
But I am also rather surprised that several people---some of whom I thought knew better---were apparently willing to accept the alleged identification purely on the word of one person. That is really disappointing.

I would like to know if Mods have access to the friends/foe lists of the members. If so, Liz, have you accessed my list?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Ditto. Especially when the principal purveyor of the theory was one of the single most toxic personalities and biggest loose cannons in the Mopologetic brigade.
One is tempted to see some strange co-dependent relationship at work in that.

Liz, I think you've unwittingly become Mary Mapes.

In case anyone was wondering, Jason Echols is not Scratch. Where that rumor came from I don't know, but it's not true. And what DCP did was pretty damned low.
