That's weird!

I went to the site, requested the information, used my credit card, and got a reply suggesting that they have no records for anyone named Ceeboo in their entire system.

Huh?

I found Lana Del Rey. She heals me.

Don't get me wrong though. I don't want to make people think I was such a victim. It is all in the past now. I've made my fair share of mistakes.

I worked up the guts after years of worry to go confess my sins to my bishop. This took lots of tears and gusto to do it. Anyway, my dad found out I was visiting with the bishop and right before I go into the bishop's office, he calls me on the church phone (clerk's office) - "Why are you meeting the bishop? Is something wrong?"

"Uh... no. I'm uh... getting a patriarchal blessing."

"Oh, you are such a good boy."

I felt terrible. But this is how I decided to get the blessing. I was a guilty character as the patriarch interviewed me and so he had to mention in my prayer things like, "be aware of your thoughts and stay worthy to go to the temple."

I still have a lot of bad feelings about this whole thing.

Oh my god, zee. The church was really so bad for you. :(

The church is really bad for anyone that takes the truth claims at face value.

I think it's bad for people who tend to take religious authority seriously. I was going to say just authority but I threw the word religious in there... not really sure why.

Perhaps it is due to an experience you have had with past "religious authority?"

Yes, but I'm wondering, why me? Why didn't BCSpace struggle with this? Why do John Dehlin and Joanna Brooks see a net good in the religion? Why do some people love Mormonism despite the warts? I seem to be on this other end of the spectrum. I seem to despise the religion with or without warts. Somehow, even if Joseph Smith really did see God, I would hate it. Well, I would likely hate myself like I used to do as a TBM.

No, there is something about me that is different than the others. I seem to interpret authority differently, in a general way. Somehow, these Internet Mormons and liberal Mormons can look at the authority and say, "Screw you! But I love the other things you said!" They can chuck out the stuff that doesn't work and keep loving and believing. They see the religion as this furry little plaything. It is a loving toy. I saw it as this massive stone that my life depended on.

I think there must be a personality type that just doesn't do religion well. I'm of that type, I think.

I think much of this is simply and only due to the transition phase you are in.

I think there must be a personality type that just doesn't do religion well.

Indeed. They are called agnostics/atheists.

I'm of that type, I think.

Zeeez,

Reflection after hitting the post key!

I hope that was okay to offer my opinion, Zee?

Maybe you weren't asking for it? (Little confused because you quoted me in your reply)

Sorry if my post seemed like I was...................well................you know............trying to tell you what your experience is/was.
Not my intention.

Ceebs,

All is good here, my friend.

I'm getting ready to have a smashing time tonight!
