To sum up what's already pretty much been said, he's "exotic," but also presents a more approachable and human demeanor than many other church authorities. I also think the fact that his conference talks stress compassion and concern over dire warnings and guilt-tripping is another reason he is well liked.

(I'd rather have coffee or other beverage of choice with Nightlion, though.)
