Bill Clinton: On the campaign trail in Wisconsin, stumping for Obama. Cameras and media welcome.

How did Bill Clinton campaigning in Wisconsin to help the Democratic opponent to GOP Governor Scott Walker in the recall election turn out there???

Well, the state Senate was flipped from Republican to Democrat and Walker's entire post-budget battle agenda, which was fairly radical, was derailed and frozen in the recall battle. As a result, we don't have an Arizona style immigration law or umpteen other things that were allegedly next in line. Clinton probably didn't help a ton there because how much is a few speeches gonna do?, but that's not the point you're trying to hammer here. So, somewhat?

He cares enough about power and money. He is not campaigning for free and he could care less about the drivel he is peddling. Clinton is more campaigning for his wife than he is for the guy that he once said "would be carrying our bags".

How much is Clinton being paid to campaign? Sources, please. Clinton is campaigning for his wife? Please. A lot of people say Hillary will step down as Secretary of State after this term. As for 2016, who knows? Hillary will be 69 years old.

last time i checked, Bush was a private citizen.

That's your best shot? Bush is a private citizen? Presidents accrue a certain amount of fame, power and gravitas from their tenure in office. How they spend that political capital after they leave the White House tells you something about he nature of the man.

wow, iron clad argument my friend...take a snapshot of one day and render judgment.
and exactly how is making a public campaign speech being valued as "better"?

It isn't just a snapshot of a day. It's a campaign season. When has George Bush given a campaign speech during this election cycle? He was a no show at the convention. Most Republicans are afraid of being seen on the stage with the last Republican President.

Dubya's father, George H.W. Bush, has done much for disaster relief efforts, even sharing the stage on with his former political nemesis Bill Clinton on numerous occasions. As I said before, how you spend the political capital you've accrued as President says a lot about you.
