Re: The 2012 Election
My senate updates and prediction (pickups in bold):
Safe Democrat:
California
Washington
Minnesota
Maine (an Independent Angus King who should caucus Democrat is a gain)
Vermont (Independent Bernie Sanders)
West Virginia
New York
Maryland
New Jersey
Rhode Island
Delaware
Hawaii
Lean Democrat:
Michigan
Ohio
Florida
New Mexico
Massachusetts (Democrat gain)
Virginia (Democrat hold)
Missouri (Democrat hold)
Virginia (Democrat hold)
Connecticut (Democrat hold)
Indiana (Democratic gain)
Wisconsin (Democrat hold)
Montana (Call it a true tossup but I think Democrat hold)
Lean Republican:
Nevada (Republican hold)
North Dakota (Republican pickup)
Nebraska (Republican pickup)
Arizona
Safe Republican:
Texas
Mississippi
Tennessee
Utah
Wyoming
What happened to the Republican Senate hopefuls? It's more likely they're going to lose seats than to pick up seats as was predicted early in 2012. At the minimum Democrats should maintain control of the Senate. The wheels really came off for the GOP. Akin and Mourdock have been disastrous when they should have easily been Republican seats. They're still not out of the woods in Arizona, Nevada, North Dakota, and Montana either. There's even rumors that Nebraska is edging closer to being a tossup than the 10+ GOP lead it was projected to be. The Republicans should maintain the House but you can't gerrymander a state wide election, and you can't hide dumbasses like Akin and Mourdock from the electorate. Akin and Mourdock might win but if it will be despite their rape-talkin' mouths.

The Good News from the Arizona Senate race is that the latest Rasmussen Poll has Congressman Jeff Flake up to 50%, with his Democratic opponent at 44%.

I very much hope that Congressman Jeff Flake clearly wins that Senate seat in Arizona.

Re: The 2012 Election
The early state exit polls will show Democrats in the lead because Democrat voters will have been oversampled. The Obama campaign will declare victory or something similar to it by late afternoon in order to suppress Republican turnout.

I already voted.Wish I was working. Sick of waiting around for results.
I pledge to get off-line in about five hours. There is no reason to anxiously wait for the results when nothing can be done at the moment of declaration except allow the victors to cheer. I won't know until morning. Detachment is good for the blood pressure.
Anyone who declares a victor before Alaska and Hawaii close is suppressing people from voting their conscience.
