From The AP:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama moved ahead of Mitt Romney in their duel for the White House, rolling up victory margins Tuesday night in the reliably Democratic Northeast and his home state of Illinois while the Republican challenger secured his conservative base.

Romney led in the popular vote, gaining 51 percent to the president's 47 percent with 1 percent of the precincts reporting.

Looks like Elder Romney will get the calling. It's close and all the Southern, Midwestern and Western states have yet to be tallied. Hawaii still gets to hear who won before their polling finishes.

With 20% of votes in, Ohio has Obama up 19% points above Romney? Are you shittin me?

And in Florida 56% of votes are in with Obama leading by 3%. Though that has been going back and forth for about an hour now.

If Romney loses both states, he loses the election. I just hope this trend keeps up.

I waited two and a half hours in line to vote. Which, when you think about it, is kinda like a poll tax. Fortunately, I can afford to do that.

On a somewhat related note, the wave of voter suppression/shenanigans stories with credible evidence backing them that seems to be inevitable in recent years is depressing the hell out of me.
