If the GOP is really interested in expanding personal freedom, decreasing the size of the government, lowering taxes, and balancing the budget, legalizing pot is a no-brainer.

The fact that they continue to spend billions on their "war on drugs" shows what they really believe about personal freedom and limited government.

There's not enough money in the war on drugs to make a difference in the deficit by itself.

Meh. I'm actually 50-50 on it. But you do bring up a good point. More voters who shouldn't be voting will be stoned on election day.

There will also be tax revenue from the sales. So, less spending on the "war." Plus money generated from sales.
