Congratulations to the President and all his fans here. I will admit, that this time around I did not vote for him. And yes I reluctantly voted for Romney. Though in my state it made no difference because it was going to be Obama even before he started to campaign.
I am happy also that I don't have to watch so many of your heads explode had Romney won.
And that I don't have to read any more hate posts about Romney any more on this board.
Nor about a Mormon running for president and on and on.
Really I am not all that sad about the outcome. I was not excited about either candidate really. Both had things I like and both that I do not like.
That said I hope the radicals in both parties can be put on a short leash and that all can work together to solve the many problems we have. I do not support the President because he is my president too.

A number of times I have read one of your posts and been tempted to tell you how much I admire the way you think and communicate, and your post above has pushed me to finally do so.
Even when I have personally disagreed with a position you've taken, you are so knowledgeable and state your case so eloquently that more than a few times I have reconsidered my own. Sometimes this has led to me feeling more assured about my position, and other times to changing my mind. But always, you make me stop and think because you are more interested in what is true and accurate than in proving you are "right." I admire that immensely, and want to thank you for the substantive contribution you made to the discussion here during this election season.

Just wanted to say that I am not one of his fans, although I did support him over the egregious alternative.
It matters little to me how much a presidential candidate's views match mine on macroeconomic issues. One reason is that I am convinced that they have very little control over job growth and loss, or economic growth and loss. That goes double for something like the price of commodities like oil.
But as long as Republicans continue to line up on the opposite side on social issues (opposing reproductive choice, gay equality, etc.), I will continue to vote against them, because of the extreme importance of appointing and approving judicial appointments. This Trump's everything.
