I believe I said that, or were you too busy gloating to notice?
I said it before and I'll say it again. You can't court the extremists in your party and then pretend to be something or a moderate. FOX News, which is essentially Romney headquarters, has been providing Romney with all his lies and talking points throughout this campaign. They're always going to try to justify their bias by whining about the "Liberal Media," claiming to be the "counterweight" in journalism. But there is no left wing station out there that could possibly compare to FOX. Nowhere. MSNBC is highly biased, but it doesn't embrace the lunatics on the far left.
I agreed with you until your last sentence. No, there aren't any left-wing nutjobs on MSNBC. To quote Frasier Crane, "What color is the air on the planet where you live?"
The problem today's Republican party has is that they only see black and white. You're either a Democrat/Socialist or a Republican/American. They didn't account for the fact that many voting Americans fall somewhere in the middle. And I hope they remain firm in their delusions, at least until after Hillary wins in 2016 and universal healthcare becomes a reality.
We are not monolithic and never have been. Stop pretending we're all racist hicks who want, in EJ Dionne's word, to "take us back to the Gilded Age." That's complete BS. I suppose it makes you feel better to pretend there are no thoughtful, intelligent conservatives out there based on conversations with Droopy and bcspace.
