BC, I'm disappointed in the way in which you completely derailed this OP. I guess we all expected better from you.

Great song, bcspace. Brings back some great memories of when I thought I was cool, was going to change the world and knew everything.

Wouldn't Harry Reid be the highest ranking Mormon political figure?
In the face of madness, rationality has no power - Xiao Wang, US historiographer, 2287 AD.

Every record...falsified, every book rewritten...every statue...has been renamed or torn down, every date...altered...the process is continuing...minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Ideology is always right.

The once and future (now) king? Sure. Senate Majority Leader is powerful, even if not quite the power position it was until about 2000.

But before the election buried Romney's presidential hopes, being the nominee of one of the two parties and within 1 to 2 points of the other party's nominee the month before the election, Romney was for a 'brief, shining moment' the top Mormon dog in politics.
