That is a weird thing to call the president. Does it mean anything?

Someone has to hold the Democrats' feet to the responsibility fire. Lord knows they won't do it by themselves.

However, for the Republicans to insist on completely setting at naught the expressed preferences of the majority of their fellow citizens would be to spit in the face of democracy - and in the medium to long term there would inevitably be consequences to that.

Without the minority, especially since the minority in this case is often the ones who actually work, pay taxes and pay for those programs, the country slams to a halt. Maybe the Democrats should be the ones who show some respect?

Only a minority of the US population works?

Only a minority of the US population pays taxes?

Even Romney in the midst of his rich buddies never went quite that far towards crazy.

There are no doubt some people around who think that way. Fortunately, they lost the election, and I don't feel very upset if they find the necessary adjustments to reality a little bit uncomfortable sometimes.

I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

I didn't say they were the only ones.

Oh, I thought there was going to be a mention of where Mitt is said to have said that:
His loss was our loss.
That sort of arrogance is losing like a Mormon in my opinion.

It's all in how you frame it, Brackie.

Out of 121 million people, he lost by less than 3%. A significant percentage of the population (almost half) voted for him. That's not something to be sneezed at.

Hi Harmony! Yes, I do agree with you that Mitt Romney didn't lose in a landslide, but Mitt Romney should've been able to have won the Popular Vote Nationwide outside of the States of California and Hawaii. Hawaii is the most Liberal leaning State in the Nation, while California has the highest percentage of uninformed voters there in the Nation. However, Mitt Romney still lost the the Popular Vote within the other 48 States Nationwide when he should have been able too.

Presidential Popular Vote Count in other 48 States:

Obama (Democratic) - 55,768,364
Romney (Republican) - 54,915,166

Duverger's Law explains why he received so many votes. No need to pretend like the results mean anything else.
