Elphaba Cake!

Post by _Ceeboo »

While navigating around the MDB this morning, I noticed that today is a very special day for one of us.

I remember first reading her posts on LDS.Net many moons ago and I have always really enjoyed her rich and valuable contributions on these boards.

Happy Birthday Elphaba!

Awesome avatar too!

Peace,

Can't believe she is now 39. How time flys.

Happy Birthday Elphaba!

(Ceeboo and I remember Elphaba lovingly from our time at LDSnet. I even remember her previously on Beliefnet.)

Happy Birthday!

Yes indeed!

The LDS.Net days are very fond memories for me! (In addition to the lovely Elphaba......Misshalfway, Moksha, Bytor, Pam, PrisonChaplain, HJolly, and many more, bring a smile to my face)

(I am saddened that I was banned, for life, from that place)

Peace,
Ceeboo

Thank you for the kind shout out!

I have been told that "thoughtful" is something we all share and that it comes from our ancient ancestors, the trilobites. It seems our distant relatives used to "thoughtfully" yield the right of way to and for each other during high traffic times in the Cambrian period. (This may very well be the evolutionary origins of what we now call traffic lights and stop signs)

Thanks so much, Ceeboo, for the birthday shout-out, and to Madison, Brad and Moksha for the birthday wishes. Madison, my birthday gift this year was a total knee replacement, so no, no partying, and not even the good drugs cut through the first two-week's pain (surgery was on the 8th). I am now in an aftercare facility recuperating and am finally feeling like I might live through this. Hopefully, by my next birthday, I WILL be wildly partying and maybe even dancing on a tabletop or two!

Ceeboo, I rarely visit LDS.net anymore. It just started to feel practically fanatic and extremist to me, too full of people like Why Me, bcspace and droopy, and I enjoyed it less and less. All the people you mentioned are great, and I miss the board as it existed a few years ago. But either it changed, or I did. Perhaps both. All I know is, I no longer felt it welcomed a voice like mine, or that I had the energy to use that voice. And though I was not banned, it bothered be greatly it no longer welcomed Moksha's, or yours, as well.

I'm sorry you were in so much pain. How terrible! Please get well soon.

Love,

Zee.

I do venous doppler exams on people who are recovering from knee replacement surgery, so I'll tell you what I tell them...it really does get better. Oh and happy birthday.
Surprise, surprise, there is no divine mandate for the Church to discuss and portray its history accurately.
