In aid climbing terms ... it's a "pig". I'm sitting at the anchor at the beginning of the pitch waiting for two climbers ahead of me to finish the pitch before I start ... they are "hauling" their gear in that picture, hence you are seeing their pig.

I loved the Rivera. I got to see most of his murals when I was in Mexico City once. This was a long, long time ago when Dream of a Sunday Afternoon in Alameda Park was still in the Hotel del Prado (the hotel was torn down after the earthquake in 85).

This reminds me of the hike down from Lone Peak, looking down Corner Canyon towards Draper and Riverton in Utah.

The thing that struck me while looking at this is how the flowers are everywhere. It's like an explosion of flowers, making a mess - a mess you like.
