I really hate artichokes.

But the Catholic church sold indulgences and the Catholic taliban at CAF are mean and hypocritical. They need to stop mocking the LDS and China has problems too.

Please stop beating dead tapirs.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

I could use a plenary indulgence, but I'm not Catholic.

Nobody can get me down today!

Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

Re: Off Topic?
I happen to like this quote a lot:
“The problem, often not discovered until late in life, is that when you look for things in life like love, meaning, motivation, it implies they are sitting behind a tree or under a rock. The most successful people in life recognize, that in life they create their own love, they manufacture their own meaning, they generate their own motivation. For me, I am driven by two main philosophies, know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you.

I'm not sure this really explains the 2nd law of thermodynamics. So, can you tell us about your mother?
