Louis playing for his wife. Art, history, love, and music all coming together. Maybe the coolest pic ever. Thanks, Blixa.

“One of Richard Doyle’s largest and most famous watercolours, which portrays over 200 fairies on the bare branches of a tree, gazed on in wonder by a boy. On a central branch sits a Fairy King who is having his long moustaches combed by a number of female fairies. Hair had a peculiar fascination for Doyle , and he loved to draw luxuriant tresses being braided and plaited into sinuous and convoluted intricacies”. ( “Richard Doyle and His Family” (exhibition catalogue, Victoria and Albert Museum, 1983))

This is for you, Eric.

Unfortunately, the title of the small red book these strapping young revolutionary heroes are holding is in Chinese, and so cannot be understood just from this picture, and the contents of the book are not available with the reproduction I posted.

Its contents, however, in somewhat diluted and domesticated form, can be found here:

Gosh Droopy. Just think how happy your life could be if you just enjoyed the art and dropped all the inappropriate political horse crap.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Eric is neither in this thread or on this board anymore. Ignore the freak.
