How did my statement that I prefer the Marilyn Monroe body type to the ultra skinny fashion model types, a type which I feel is an unhealthy ideal promoted by the fashion industry, turn into a personal attack on Just Me? An individual that I hold in the highest esteem.
Anyways, again I am sorry for my faux pas.
It was actually an attack on all thin women.
You said "too skinny." The only way a woman or man is "too skinny" is if she has an eating disorder or illness that is causing unhealthy weight loss.
I look like those women you said are "too skinny." I have had many ugly things said to me about my weight over the years. I am well aware that I am thin and I am well aware that I don't have big boobs. I know not everyone will find me sexually appealing.
There are meme's out there that say "Real women have curves." Well, pardon me, but I am a "real woman" even though I may not be voluptuous.
When you say women should have curves that implies that something is wrong with women who are not curvy. Why do you think the breast implant business is booming? Because women are well aware that big breasts are viewed as sexier and more appealing than small breasts.
I was born this way and short of cosmetic surgery this is my body. I eat healthy, take my vitamins and exercise.
Marilyn was a size 8. She was pretty damn thin, she just happened to have boobs and booty. Like J-Lo. MR had a nose job. So even as gorgeous as she was it seems she had some body image issues, too.
Steelhead, I still love you!
