"Don't Come Knocking", one I liked a lot that I saw with friends (no husband). I heart Jessica Lange.

Foreign films?

Mermaid (Russian)
Rudo y Cursi (Mexican)
Where Do We Go Now (Lebanese)
Lourdes (French)

Speaking of Mexican, "The Mexican" is one we both enjoyed.

Docs?

Imelda
Restepro
Chasing Ice

Art film?

Mill and the Cross

....should do for now.

There's a great documentary I saw last night on Netflix called Jiro Dreams of Sushi. It's about this 85 year old man in Japan who runs this famous sushi restaurant. It's a really small place, a hole in the wall with 10 seats, so people have to make reservations a month or so in advance. Him and his sons make everything by hand, they don't worry about anyone stealing their secrets, because they don't have any. They just demand consistent perfection from themselves and their food at all times. I won't spoil any more, but it is definitely worth checking out.

Couldn't find it!

Saw this as well and really liked it.

Do you enjoy Japanese animation? I really love My Neighbor Totoro, Miyazaki. Spirited Away is also very good, but Totoro is my favorite.

A great family movie.

I like gramps' ideas. Would add Princess Mononoke to that or Howl's Moving Castle. Perhaps try In Time (Gattaca is better but maybe you've seen that) or Limitless. The Star Trek reboot with Chris Pine et. al. was fantastic. The opening scenes will draw your wife in immediately.

Sorry, Zeezrom. It looks like it's not on the online netflix, just via mail.

I just scrolled through titles listed under "Romance" and nothing new jumped out at me. I'm guessing you've seen the '93 version of Much Ado About Nothing? or Sliding Doors?
