Like horror? Try 1408. Seems like a movie that would be on streaming Netflix. Wasn't too shabby. Or some sci-fi like The Island.
For something different, try The Secret of Kells. I saw that one on Netflix. It's one of those movies set in the paganism-fading-to-Christian era, like Dragonslayer is, yet another good one (but an oldie) that should be on Netflix.
I don't have Netflix now. The better movies on it seemed to be the understated and underrated types. There are good ones of those but you have to dig. I think the above fit in that category.

I'm surprised In Bruges wasn't streaming on Netflix. I assumed it was when I made the suggestion.
I just ran a few other suggestions through Netflix and also found they weren't available for streaming. I guess I assumed that much more was available that way than it is.
I'll have to think some more before I give any other suggestions.
