not going to happen...it neuters Congress and gives to much power to the President...like it or not, our country is devised to force compromise and to provide check/balance between the 3 branches....it would be better to see executive orders go away and have term limits for every single government position...all the way down to a mail sorter.....and of course, get rid of government unions.

wow...a belly full of kool-aid this one has.

Then I suggest you go to the bathroom.

misunderstand the subtle difference between stimulus money and deficit spending. The difference in their impact is clear by the rather inept and lackluster results seen over the last 4 years. Even a simple view of the economy, both historically and theoretically, has proven that stimulus based on deficit borrowing is doomed.

You clearly don't know much about economic history then do you?

Most economists today are Keynesian for a reason. Recent history has vindicated it and it continues to vindicate it as we watch austerity measures fail elsewhere in the world.

You even fail to mention that Obama's administration has so poorly managed the "stimulus" that it is has been rendered impotent at even basic levels.

Says who? Let me guess, Brietbart, the weekley standard, hotair, WND?

I'm not sure if it is still up but the White House had a website that detailed where and how every stimulus dollar was spent. Much of it was never spent and a lot of it was repaid with interest. Of course I wouldn't expect you to come across these kinds of facts given the sources you confine yourself to.

It is 100% appropriate. You seem to lack understanding in how stimulus money works. All that money you call "pork barrel" (which it isn't!) is going right back into the economy, which stimulates it and the jobs required to produce the goods and services being purchased.

Actually, as anybody with an IQ above that of a fiddler crab understands quite well, the "stimulus" money stimulates nothing save the bottom lines of the particular businesses and entities to whom it is given at the expense of the rest of the economy, and the stimulus money in question was, on the weight of the facts of the matter, nothing more than a slush fund to pay-off political cronies and rent seekers, bail out failed private sector businesses (heavily unionized, by sheer trick of chance), bail out state governments who had spent themselves into oblivion, and "save" public sector jobs that are a net drain on the total economy in any case.

What a holy high crock.

There are pine cones lying around my property (some fairly good sized), who hold views similar to Kevin's. Some of them, however, seem to be coming around, as they are a bit more open to serious critical thought than Mr. Graham, and a bit less bigoted about those who see things differently than they do.
