Rodger Reid was the BYU coach who failed to get the recruit on campus. Eventually it cost him his job. BYU is forever tarred with shame for the way they let Reid go. A few games into a new season he was dumped - on the radio and TV - without telling Reid face to face. Reid found out about it when a friend called him and told him about it.

BYU prays about who they hire so I wonder of God tells them who to fire?

As for Parker, hope he does not go on a mission. That is not a good thing for high level athletes.

I remember that Clayton Christensen's son chose Duke over BYU ~15 years ago, and he ended up mostly riding the bench for 4 years. That probably won't happen to Parker though.

Didn't something like this happen in late spring 2012 at one of the BYU enterprises? You know, the Institute with the Iron Eagle crossing its fingers while clutching a CTR plaque on top of its facade.

Matt was a good player. He also played some pickup games with me 15 summers ago in the Richards building. I remember a Tongan guy wanting to start a fist fight with him.

But Chris Burgess would school Eldon Brand every day in practice at Duke, but he didn't have a chance at getting any playing time there. I don't even watch the NBA anymore. Tennis is a much better game.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
