Re: Anyone else into Football?
I agree with Skip Bayless that Tebow is proven deadly in a spread option system in the NFL (Denver). Philadelphia ought to take him (can be got for cheap I would think) if Kelly wants to bring the spread option with him. However, Kelly has said he's not married to any particular system and would run say, the Power I, if that's what his team was best at. If Kelly is a real innovative coach, he might bring a new system to the Eagles that the NFL has not seen or seen much of. Perhaps Tebow's NFL career is done.

Tebow was terrible in Denver.

Tebow could get minutes from that guy because he's not very good. No team should look at him as a starter, nor should they expect him to be a competent backup. His throwing motion is worse than cancer.

lol, deadly to which team? Broncos had a -24 point differential with Tebow as starter last year.
for the 2011 season Tebow had a 46.5 CMP%, 12 TD, 6 INT, and 7 FUM.... deadly.

And that's all that needs to be said about that. May his name never be uttered in football circles again.

ironically Tebow's stats did not differ too much from John Elway's rookie season

nevertheless...Elway did not go on to be a running back for the jaguars

Are you sure bcspace didn't utter that sentence for the same precise reason he says everything else he says, which happs to be the exact same reason Skip Bayless says what he says?
I suspect the joke is on you.

I was just thinking about that old song lyric:
"If you're going to San Francisco,
The 49'ers there wear rings on their fingers..."
Is anyone out there putting their money on a dark Raven?

That's right. He did a reasonable job in Denver but only because the system was changed. He's not a pure pocket passer and likely never will be. A team, as I mentioned before, will need to have a system suited for him. I predict several NFL teams will move to such a system and get similar type quarterbacks.
Here's what Chip Kelly said recently in a coaching clinic:
“In a quarterback, I look for a quarterback who can run and not a running back who can throw. I want the quarterback who can beat you with his arm. If the defense forces him to run, he can do it effectively. We are not a Tim Tebow type of quarterback team [speaking of Oregon). I am not going to run the quarterback 20 times on power runs. If I had a Tim Tebow, I might change my mind. You do not find the 6-4, 240-pound, 4.6 quarterbacks too many times.”
I freely admit it's not much, but this is actually promising for Tebow has here is an NFL coach who would change the system to fit Tebow.

Re: Anyone else into Football?
As a Cowboys fan, I am obligated to hate the 49ers. However, I've respected the spread option and they ran it fairly well today though not perfectly. Ultimately I root for the underdog as well so I was hoping for the Ravens and they got it. First three drives in the first half ending in disappointment and Baltimore's last minute goal line stand in the 4th did the 'Niners in.
Excellent offensive play calling on both sides.
