Could you give me Chapter and verse ...

Of course.

bcspace wrote:Good works required for salvation:
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Matthew 25
OK.

bcspace wrote:Marriage required for salvation:
Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1Corinthians 11:11
OK.

bcspace wrote:Being good with money required for salvation:
9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Luke 16
Ehm...

My options:
- 1. You are joking. Some smilies would have helped...

- 2. You are serious. Then please read Luke 16:13-16
13. No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14. And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15. And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
In this case, Luke is the blameful; he should have use the smilies...

Am serious and already familiar with the verses following. In Luke, Jesus is not asking us to serve mammon but to subdue and control it. Hence, you must be good with money else "who will commit to your trust the true riches[eternal life]?"

Oh and by the way, David is in hell because he missed the first resurrection.

In Luke, Jesus doesn't ask us to serve Mammon.
In fact, Jesus nowhere ask us to serve Mammon.
Subdue, control - no way.

OK, You should subdue it.

This parable is not in any way about acquiring wealth as some kind of good work to salvation. Scripture, and in this specific case Jesus, does not condemn the acquiring of wealth. What is being talked about in this parable is not the idea that by proving your mastery of finances you somehow demonstrate a worthiness to greater riches through salvation. It is about condemnation for not spending our wealth/money to the glory of God...it is for this reason he will not entrust us with greater spiritual wealth. The whole idea is that Christians should regard their incomes and wealth as being a trust for which they must one day give account. It is a simple statement that if your do not spend your wealth properly, to the glory of God and his kingdom on earth, you will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

Unorthodox interpretation...

Could You this viewpoint harmonize with other verses, for example
Mark 10 wrote:20. And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.
21. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24. And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

For me, Luke 16:9 is a plain taunting. Not a wonder, that the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him...

How would you know that David missed the first resurrection any more than Isaiah, Noah, Adam, etc. Chapter and verse in Bible or Book of Mormon

Matthew 27:52-53. First Resurrection.
Acts 2:34 David missed it.

Read the context, all it says is David tomb is here so his body saw decay just like Isaiah Adam and Noah
Matt 27:
50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
5 3And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."

So which saints arose? Isaiah, Noah, Adam etc. don't see the names so how could you think David wasn't there since there bodies must have decayed ? and there tombs must still be visable like like David's

Non sequitur. David, after the first resurrection, is not in heaven. Thus he missed the first resurrection.
