Need Help with Times Crossword Puzzle

Usually I skip this section of the Antarctic Times Crossword Puzzle, but it caught my eye today. However, I could use some help:

What's a nine letter word for religious spin doctor?

I'm still working on this, but I have solved the 9th letter across. The clue was a three letter "foot appendage" and I am guessing it is toe. So the last letter is a T.

The last three letters should be i-s-t, as in dentist, podiatrist, scientist, etc.
Problems with auto-correct:
In Helaman 6:39, we see the Badmintons, so similar to Skousenite Mormons, taking over the government and abusing the rights of many.
