IMHO a complaint to the state bar should only be made if the attorney, as part of his or her practice, committed some sort of professional transgression. Opinions spouted off on religious apologetic/anti-apologetic message boards somewhere on the Internets simply don't count.

Seth, I agree 100%. For those that haven't read the recent complaint filed with State Bar, I can say that I've seen the complaint and The Bar Committee's findings, and Mr. Crawpit is being completely disingenuous by implying that the complaint had anything to do with his apologetics or religion or even posting mean things about people. The complaint alleges a violation of a Professional Code of Conduct Rule, but the exact article number of that code/rule I can't recall off the top of my head.

I believe the complaint has been posted on the morman Goolag web site. I'll leave it at that. The moderators have been pretty clear about their bizarre double standard when it comes to Ben Crockett or whatever his name is.

I have a hard time understanding why he isn't more inclusive, especially living in the LA area. You know... It'd go a long way if he simply apologized to you, owned up to it online, and then started to treat homosexuals with equality. I'm confused by this. Are you saying that your use of the word "faggot" towards anti-Mormons has a different meaning when translated into Bulgarian or Italian?

What about when Joseph Smith Jr. chose the word "Adieu" instead of an English word? Since that word did not exist in Ancient "Nephite times," what are we to make of that translation? Is "Adieu" really a "Nephite" word and not a salutation in French?
