Liz's private geeks board. What has become the private apologetics support board.

Thanks. This makes sense. I guess this is why there is literally no discussion about any of this over on MAD -- they're all over at Liz's. I'd sure like to be a fly on that cyber wall.

No, not really, there would have been no discussion of it there either if it would not have been for me starting the what I was ultimately accused of as the "mega Dan Vendetta" thread.

It was a dog-pile of Dan support, and Rockslider attacks. Nothing new to see here.

Sounds to me as if they're circling the wagons and staying mum in the hope this will all eventually blow over. I'm guessing that's not gonna happen.

That is most unfortunate!

No you wouldn't. Not if it is like her previous private bitch and moan club that I was in for a brief time. Imagine L. Ron Hubbard's vision of Mean Girls.

Yes, take a group kicked out of MI and reassembled as the Interpreter, having a reputation/history of wolf hunting. Add to this the author of a 100 page hunting trip being good friends with Dan, a member of the Interpreter's executive staff and an active Bishop to boot. Next throw in Dan's arrogant bragging about having a Bishop friend violating Church privacy policy, and yes, I assume Dan has triggered a potentially serious situation, possibly for himself but even more so for his friend.

I can not see how the Church would not view Dan as anything but a loose cannon, with the way he dealt with the whole MI release, the establishment of the new "MI" oops, had to loose that one quickly, I mean Interpreter, and now an on staff active Bishop with access to confidential Church records. Oh my!

But of course, Dan and company maintains move on, nothing to see here.

If the Church legal/privacy department knows about this, I'll bet they are crapping their pants.

It'll be interesting to see if anything happens (and if it does, we'll probably never know about it). But, you're right, Dan's own words got him (and his bishop friend) into a real pickle. Probably the best thing he could do now is to give a public apology and a promise never to do it again ... but I don't see DCP ever admitting he was in the wrong when it comes to anonymous posters like Wang Church, et al. For now, his strategy appears to be keeping a very low profile and not mentioning anything about this (the 3rd-person statement Liz posted is likely the most we'll get).

Yeah, you're not fetch enough, Rollo.

Say, Liz, since being a bishop is a matter of public record, who is the bishop Peterson had do his detective work for him?
