Hey Harold!

I regret that the discussion (for what it's worth, I thought much of it was deeply interesting, thought provoking and most fascinating) has evolved (pun intended  ) into a focus and evaluation of and on Ceeboo, Ceeboo's laziness, Ceeboo's education, Ceeboo's personal beliefs and a demand that it is Ceeboo's turn to deliver his case to the jury.

I pass and rest!

Ceeboo, Ceeboo, Ceeboo... :) We answered every one of your questions,

Friend, I appreciate (and think I said so many times in this thread) the contributions made. However, this thread was not a set of questions, and that becuase you feel they have all been answered....the thinking is done!

The thread was putting forth a few of what I consider to be mind-bending ideas sorrounding evolution and it was welcoming any who chose to partake in this discussion to pull up a chair and share their thoughts, opinions, and perspectives.

I proposed two of my personal mind-benders (I had many more that I would have liked to introduce for mere discussion because I find them so fascinating).

and put in several hours into writing that man, per your requests...

Please don't feel like you need to put several hours in writting for my benefit. Do so if you feel the discussion and or topic is worthy and interesting and that you think you have something you would like to share with your friends on the board. (By the way, I have also put a lot of time in posting but that seems to be a requirement if you choose to post on a discussion board that discusses things!)

I'm betting in three months it's going to be a "racoon" again...

No, in three months it will be a 200,000 lb. whale!

:bangingheadagainstwall:

Me too!

Hey, at least you didn't pour your heart and soul into a Gilbert & Sullivan-worthy nautical opera only to have it written off as "sucky". Probably serves me right for not working the damned raccoon into the libretto.

I hope you know I was just kidding when I said it sucked!

I actually thought it was very well done and I enjoyed reading it!

Actually, you would only need to work something into the libretto that was the SIZE of a raccoon.

Nope, too late: I am inconsolable. Besides, I don't mind suffering for my art nearly so much as I mind not getting paid for it.

Ceeboo:

We know that the United States of America were originally 13 colonies of the United Kingdom that "broke off" and became independent. Therefore, you can say that the United States of America evolved from the United Kingdom.

Now, let's say that a thousand years from now an archaeologist discovers the grave of an American who died in 1870. He also discovers the grave of an Englishman who died in 2005. He loudly exclaims, "I know that the United States couldn't possibly have descended from the United Kingdom, because here's an Englishman who died after an American!!"

If you were one of this archaeologist's colleagues, what would you say to him?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

I would say:

"Don't get so excited, this is simply evidence that they were both human beings! Now keep digging, we are suppose to be looking for evidence of a 30 pound racoon-like creature that turns into a 200,000 pound whale!"

And here I was thinking you wanted to be the centre of attention

Well, it was fun while it lasted my friend.

I now know what it must feel like to have a conversation with Ray Comfort...!
I both thank you and curse you with equal measure

Let me know when / if you ever happen to visit London.
We'll see if this kind of debate can be impoved by first applying several beers to the problem...
I have a feeling it will help...! :ugeek:

Take care matey,
Ren

P.S.
After storming away from this thread in a huff, I see you are now making racoon / whale posts all over the board.
...well played sir. Well played...

If I am ever there, it would be a pleasure to share a few cold ones with you. (But I never thought of it as a debate.)

Take care matey,
Ren

You too, Ren!

All the best to you and yours!

"Storming away from the thread in a huff"?

It looks like I have been and have remained pretty active in the thread, no?

As to the "racoon/whale posts all over the board", Yea, I have this habit to try and offer smiles with and toward those who I share time with in this space. (Sometimes it works - Sometimes it doesn't)

Peace,
