In any case, 54% is a bare, fingertip-hanging majority, and polls such as this don't capture the depth, variability, or psychological basis of such support. Israel is still surrounded by a number of nations harboring genocidal intentions against the Jews and Israel as a state, and Obama has done nothing but appease and engage in the most grotesque paroxysms of self-delusion regarding the nature of the region and the intentions/psychologies of Israel's enemies.

Obama's tiny increase in popularity since last year will be ephemeral and fleeting - as will be his popularity here, once the consequences of his governance really begin to be felt, and felt keenly.
