A letter to my Bishop
I had written a letter to "my" bishop two weeks ago. Into this I asked to be allowed to go to the church. I have namely ban on entering the house place in the complete stake. And I asked to be allowed to interview members for a book project. I am interested in knowing how they attain their testimonial and why people become members of the church.
No answer of the bishop but two telephone calls which were offending for me.
What do you think about this?

It sounds like you are not getting back in to church, Jutta.
Have you considered asking people on boards like this those questions? I think if you were to start a thread here asking "How did you attain your testimonial and why did you become a member of the church" you will receive many interesting answers. Of course, it won't be specific to the area where you live, but it would be interesting.
I would enjoy reading that myself.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

i think that you have a desire to be free to choose for yourself but you also have a desire to deny that freedom from others...particularly others whom disagree with you.

In the Berlin Stake and every ward in Berlin, I'm banned. Because I tell them the truth about the church in the church buildings. And, I was transsexual (male to female), and they want to see me as male. Only, if a told a Bishop, that my Transition was a mistake, and i would live as a man, I can visit the church. This is blackmailing and against German law.

I claimed to be a member of the church from 1992 (the year of my excommunication) up to the year 1995 (the year of the two articles). As a woman and not as a man. But this was not permitted to me.
And I would be a member of 2nd class how I know from the church handbook of instructions. It would be forbidden to me to enter the temple.
And, if the church didn't changed their behavior to transsexual and homosexual persons , I prefer to remain a PAGAN (Wicca)

Can a church stands above or outside the law?
To discriminate People is against German law. It is also in our constitution!

Are churches in Germany public or private institutions. I am not sure you have a discrimination case because a Church disagrees with your life choices and will not let you be a member? If you are happy, why not move on?

some laws, yes....other laws, no

it is not discrimination, nor is it the jurisdiction of government.
I understand that Germans are use to and likely prefer a totalitarian lifestyle but that is not the case with most of the free world, especially where the truth is held that government has no virtue by commanding over a church.

Odd question, really.
