The process takes less than a minute. If a bishop has no qualms about running searches of the CDOL in violation of the directory's conditions of use, what will keep him from requesting and reviewing a person's membership record as part of his overriding "duty" "to the church to look out for its well-being"? Certainly some language in the church handbook won't stop him.
For the record, I would note that the CDOL is accessible to users who serve in positions other than bishop. At the ward level, the following can access it: bishop, bishopric counselors, ward clerk, assistant clerks, and executive secretary.
So, if a bishop could do one thing bad that means the bishop should be thought to do other bad things too? We should convict him on that thought?
hmmm...I don't know if that works so well, but I'm glad you offered your thoughts on it.
Love ya tons, Stem
I ain't nuttin'. don't get all worked up on account of me.

I see. Next time you start spouting off about everyone's hostility (which should be in what? The next five minutes or so?) I'll explain that we're all just being playful.

Can you help me understand what you mean by harassing people on the internet?
Hey, guys...did you notice how scratch and company are trying to reveal in real life about me? Boy oh boy, that's bad stuff. Oh wait...they are in your camp so it's cool. Dan is clearly evil for doing next to nothing though.
What a delightful group!

By all means, say what you must. Just cause I get silly, though, doesn't quite equate to the evident hostile atmosphere here.

Sure, I would be referring to your practice of sewing discord here for no other reason than your own personal amusement.

And the reason I should have any amount of sympathy for you is.......
Hey! If you wanted it to stop you could always just leave and never come back! Yeah, that would work.

That's because you are incapable of honestly examining your own behavior. See, when you get all pissy and call people names, it's just being silly, but for anyone else here (who isn't a Mormon, I've noticed that you have a real bias against people who aren't Mormons) we're angry and hostile and incapable of moving on with our lives.
