In priesthood, following President Uchtdorf's remarks, there was an incredibly loud "AH-MEN!"

I wonder if that guy was just expressing his overwhelming feeling of edification, or if he just wanted to be heard in nearly every nation in the world at the same time for the fun of it.

Technically yes, but we wish it was just six hours. We all know though that you end up wasting two entire days on it. The two hours breaks aren't long enough to enjoy or accomplish anything really. Inhumane torture to give people just enough time to wish they were doing other things, before subjecting them to more repetitive droning.

I worked about 12 hours today and apparently this was prom weekend in my neck of the woods. So fortunately the Mormon youth here was spared watching that absolutely 100% senseless waste of a saturday and sunday (plus they'll be hearing the same talks repeatedly for the next few years in church and home/visiting teaching, or can just read the freaking ensign in their down time or another sunday afternoon). Unless they're gluttons for punishment and actually opted to trade away the real prom with the miserable "Mormon prom", AND watched conference today.

As long as everyone is just reading a teleprompter the 'prophets' and 'apostles' are always going to be repeating long-winded Mormon cliches and catchphrases for two days straight, and keep the messages primarily ecumenical and non-controversial. I can just hear TSM's sing songy primary voice, imagine him talking about widows (he never has real stories about getting along with anyone else), and just imagine how googly eyed everyone was for how powerful god spoke through him.

What kind of prophets and apostles have spokesmen to give non-answers on the challenging subjects, and limit their "on the record" speeches to talks with teleprompters?

Anyways wasting a beautiful weekend in April is just idiotic.

Oh no, I was referring to a lot of Mormons choosing to boycott the prom in protest of how awesome they are, and have a completely segregated and 'wholesome' "Mormon prom". I'm sure you're all too aware of this this phenomenon. :)

My first date with a Mormon girl actually was to a Mormon prom (two years before joining the church) and it was incredibly sad. We took pictures in front of a model trailer for vinyl siding, ate Italian, and ended at a church dance with doritos, brownies, and lemonade. Mormon prom- it's magical. I'm so grateful and have a strong testimony of being better than everyone else and having chosen that higher path.

That arrogance is a direct fulfill@ment of a prophetic statement in the Book of Mormon when Jesus called out the LDS Church as sinning against the gospel which the Father was about to take the gospel from them for all their abominations which included secret murders and pride above all people of the whole earth.
