WV, be damned! The celestial kingdom is located near the headwaters of the middle fork of the salmon river. Somewhere between there and redfish lake.

It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

When I first met my now- ex- husband, I was extremely impressed that he had a tape of John Denver and Placido Domingo singing together. Its eclectic nature made me think he had an interesting way of viewing the world, and I was immediately attracted to that. It took a few years to realize he was the most boring man on the planet whose only interest was to be a couch potato. But seeing your post, Ceeboo, took me back to those first few heady days of falling in love.

Here's a vido of John and Placido singing "Perhaps Love." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7KJtqHyb2w

Way Cool! (Thanks)

Precious that John talks about his Mom for that song!

A lovely song. I've always liked John Denver. You do have to admire his courage singing on the same stage as Placido Domingo.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Hello Ceeboo,

Just to let you know, I get emotional every time I think about dying because of a small detail like not following instructions when you mount the fuel tank switch in your Long E-Z home built aircraft.

Image

A five member NTSB team was assembled to investigate and salvage the aircraft. They reached the conclusion that the crash was caused by a faulty placement of a switch used to change over the two gas tanks in the aircraft, and when Mr. Denver attempted to reach the switch (located behind the pilots seat), he lost control of the aircraft.

I loved that song when it first came out (dawn of time). West Virginia is a beautiful state in the Spring and Autumn.

I think, after a few years to reflect, he settled on a more majestic home.
