I want you to know that you have derailed my entire afternoon!

I've been hunting down and listening to John Denver songs on Youtube for more time then I have to spend. They were all playing in my late adolescence and early adulthood.

Each one has a memory attached. Especially "Annie's Song". I was seriously dating a girl called Annie when that was playing. It was "our" song. It brings back vivid memories that I can't describe here. It's a little disheartening to think that she is probably a grandmother now.

That is so funny because I was doing exactly the same thing all afternoon! (I am dead serious) And because of this John Denver walk down memory lane, I failed to do the three proposals that I surely should have done!

Although I never dated anyone named Annie (I did date a nice fellow named Arthur, though! ) my memories were exploding with each JD tune.

All in all, a FABULOUS afternoon that was filled with fond memories, lots of smiles and foot taps!
(Didn't make much money though!)

I second your suggestion and agree Ceeboo would love it. I thought it was enchanting. I have been on a Bollywood kick for months now and have become fascinated with India, especially with the women's exquisite clothing and dancing. I soooo want my life to be like Judi Densch's character.

I've never been to India, but my father spent many years there and I grew up with his stories. He said he hated it for the first two weeks and loved it for the rest of his life. I would love to go. Maybe I can work that out in my retirement.

The movie has many of my favorite actors. Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Penelope Wilton and of course Tom Wilkinson, who I believe is the best actor alive. Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) doing a spectacular job as the hotel owner.

A sweet and gentle movie.

I'm not sure he would even remember me. It was many moons ago....Late December back in 63....Ohhh what a night!

Truth be told, although it ended much too soon, it was a very special time for me!
