There is a wide, fuzzy line between people who are less intelligent than average and people who are, well, special. When I debate people on the other side of that line, I feel kinda dirty.

According to Lee Atwater, the specific aim of the southern strategy was to get the white-trash vote by pushing for economic policies that were bad for white trash. This is because he recognized that the white trash would enthusiastically support such policies because they’d recognize that “blacks get hurt worse than whites.”
Getting certain posters to recognize this fact is as futile as getting fish to recognize the presence of water.
