a question for KG, and other gun "regulators"
By your own reasoning and logic displayed on other threads, would not a National Bomb Registry and broader background checks for people buying crock pots have prevented the Boston marathon bombings?

Just two brain cells with a sputtering connection is all it takes to answer this for yourself.
Why in the world do you submit to car registration laws?

Why don't you use your brain cells and read my response in the other thread to this straw-man question, why you're comparing Apples and Oranges.

Your response was brain dead.

I'm not necessarily a gun "regulator," but as it is currently illegal for me to own any type of firearm (in other words, I am one of the regulated), I hope you don't mind if I ask you a question:
Do you believe that if explosives weren't regulated as they currently are, that there would be no increase in the number of incidents of criminals/terrorists using explosives as a weapon?

Why in the world do you submit to car registration laws?
the obvious reason, of course....tax benefit and proof of ownership.
But you do raise a good point....has the legal registration of cars been valuable in the fight against vehicular homicide?
has the legal registration of cars been successful in keeping cars out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill?
(good luck on finding your second cell)

i do believe that. There may be an initial spike in activity, but likely levels would remain the same. I do believe that the number of criminals/terrorists that inadvertently blow themselves up would increase thus resulting in a net loss for the number of offenders available.

Why would anyone need a background check for a crock pot? Other than a slight danger from food poisoning if the power were to go out and the pork roast were left sitting too long and then consumed, I can't imagine why anyone would care who is or isn't buying one...?

When crockpots are outlawed, only outlaws will have crockpots.
