Just so I'm clear on this, does anyone think it's a wise idea to implement laws and other public policies based on one incident?

Sometimes one big incident is needed to move the populace towards a policy decision that is supported by numerous small incidents. That policy decision in the case of the most recent gun legislation being a tiny milquetoast expansion of background checks.
Whatever appears to be against the Book of Mormon is going to be overturned at some time in the future. So we can be pretty open minded.-charity 3/7/07
