And I know what I am talking about as I have been where he is, as those who know me will readily testify to. So I know the mindset. I know he has deliberately decided to disbelieve for other reasons than the ones he presents, because he will have known about those things for years. He is a fraud in my view.
As for investing his entire life in the church, so what? We all know that we get a lot out of the church too. Especially if we enjoy positions of authority as he had.

I agree... Dehlin, Givens, Prince are all part of the church.... But I think you'll also agree with me that there are some within the church who strongly disagree with Dehlin, Givens, & Prince and what they are doing. There are those who consider them apostate for their views.
And I don't think that the oft repeated attitude that "it is a member's own fault if they don't know about polygamy, peep stones, Book of Abraham issues, etc" is useful. There are members who don't. And it's not their fault. Our curriculum doesn't teach those things and not everyone has the same cultural experience in the church.

Why Me wrote: The face in the hat is rather faith promoting. But difficult to give an artist interpretation of it. But the face in the hat is a faith enhancer. How to teach this to kids. Easy. Have a hat, have them stick their head in it and have them attempt to write a book. They will fail. Why? Because the translation occurred by the power of god.
