Arizona news outlets are reporting she was released last night.

Turns out the bus station video showed the couple as they were boarding only carrying blankets, water bottles, and a purse.

At the next Fast and Testimony meeting they will recount how the Holy Ghost got them off the hook.

She takes a parting shot at the authorities....which doesn't help other people who will be traveling to Mexico

Nonetheless, she called on those who arrested her to "repent," find "respectable work" and stop making people suffer.

A co-worker brought this story up today in conversation. (It's a local interest story here in the Phoenix area). He knows I am formerly LDS. He is a born-again Christian with a slight dislike for Mormonism (not to mention Obama, climate science, evolution, etc.).

Interestingly, he seemed to believe that the only reason she was able to walk was because of the pull the LDS church brought to the case. In his opinion, a non-Mormon wouldn't have had the ability to generate the same amount of community outrage that forced the Mexican goverment's hand in the same manner.

She spoke briefly to reporters clustered outside the jail Thursday, saying: 'Many thanks to everyone, especially my God who let me go free, my family, my children, who with their help, I was able to survive this test.'

Thank you God for letting me go free? What about 'Thank you God for letting me get arrested in the first place!
