Faqs, suppose scientists are able to create human beings from scratch that have their own thoughts, desires, hopes, and dreams just like you. They experience pain just the same as well as joy. Would those scientists have moral license to do whatever they want to their creation? Could they brutally murder them while they cry out in anguish? Why? Does human life not have intrinsic value to you? Does this radical view on property rights extend to all facets of your thinking?

You can't just arbitrarily give God the right to take life, and arbitrarily take it away from Man. That doesn't make any sense especially given upward of 70% of pregnancies end in miscarriage (natural abortion). If your god really gave a care about the sanctity of human life natural abortion simply wouldn't happen.

He himself created death, and loosed Satan upon the world to boot.

Your god clearly has no moral claim on the matter of life and death... Or at least the moral claim to a double standard.

If you are going to argue that a woman is strong, independent and capable of making her own decisions then why would you censor information? why would you take a position that assumes a woman cannot "handle" such images and thuis should be shielded and protected from them, because she must surely be unable to understand them for herself....right?

You don't know me at all. For the vast majority of my life I was pro-life. I always HATED seeing the billboards, signs and vans with aborted fetal tissue on them. I have always been HORRIFIED that these are in plain view of children.

As a woman who has experienced 2 miscarriages it is MY CHOICE to NOT see that kind of stuff. I choose not to view lots of different things. That is my CHOICE.

Several straw-men as usual....

1. Scientists are human beings, thus they have no "say" at all in the intrinsic value of another.

2. God decides when you live and when you die. And death is only in the world because of sin.
Thus, God deciding if you die in the womb, not be born in the first place, in a car accident, or in old age is still God.

3. When you die by a storm it's also still God. God doing the same thing during the flood is no different than any other time. His every action has a purpose. Just because he doesn't give one for every action, but gave one for one of his biggest actions doesn't change the fact that he's in control of the entire plan.

4. I entirely value life, and that's the point why abortion is immoral.

It makes me laugh that you attack me with an argument of the "intrinsic value of life" but then claim life in the womb has no value.

1. Who said any of it is "arbitrary"?

2. God gave life.... And he takes it away as you even acknowledge.

3. Man choosing to take away life that would NORMALLY LIVE, is what is wrong. Further, death is in the world because sin is in the world, fallibility is in the world.

4. Death and life is the cycle of nature..... Man controlling nature for good is one thing, but usurping nature by taking human life is another.

5. We are not "animals".... God gave us Agency to use for good or evil. Aborting a child is clearly on the evil side, no different than killing anyone without moral cause in real life would be evil.
