The term "communism" was used in both the communist world and among its followers in the West throughout the Cold War era interchangeably with "socialism" to denote the various Marxist governments existing throughout the world and seeking to expand their influence and power.

Therefore Obama cannot be a Communist (at least not today); because he is for the private property and financial growth.

Once again, the inevitable progression from low-information to sub-low information to no-information citizen. Europe may have a few more of these at present than we do, but we're catching up as fast as we can.

Nobody can say whether he was in the past once Communist or was influenced by communist ideals.

Still some thoughts for the health care reform of Obama:

One goes bankrupt in the USA if one is seriously ill! The health insurance companies are commanded by businessmen and societies which are profit-oriented and therefore which do not pay necessary surgical interventions or expensive medicine. Whoever has seen the documentary movie "Sicko" of Michael Moore knows what I talk about.
Every man, also applicants for political asylum, receives a medical supply in Germany. An employee pays 2% of his gross salary for medical supply in the highest case. Furthermore all costs are free. And chronically ill persons pay only 1% of their gross wage.
Why is something like that not possible in the USA?
Because powerful pressure groups (LOBBYISTS) prevent this to the damage of the American population and the taxpayers.
Obama wanted only a compensation with his health program for all create those which work and nevertheless be able to not afford a health insurance.
If this is communism, I am glad to be a Communist!

An excellent, excellent object lesson in the total collapse of public education, mainstream news media, contemporary academia, and that which passes for serious thought among many Westerners in North America and on the Continent.

The sheeple will give away their own liberty and that of their neighbors without a second thought (and without anything that could be called critical thought) and lap up their own serfdom with gusto so long as they believe someone else is paying to forge their chains.
