Alternate juror supports Zimmerman verdict

Zimmerman has already been found not guilty. I say that we just start leaving him alone now. If the people of Florida do not like the 'stand your ground' law, then they need to contact their lawmakers there.

I have a real problem with any comparison to these two cases that begins with the presumption that the teenagers in question were equivalent except for the color of their skin.

So if GZ had caught TM stealing something that would have made what went down justified in your eyes right?

I think New York law decided with the Goetz case that it wasn't ok to shoot someone for stealing. Couldn't you argue that the man could have gotten away from the teenager coming at him some other way than shooting him down?

No. I don't think getting caught stealing is sufficient reason to kill someone. I think the only reason sufficient to kill someone is if your life is truly in danger, or someone else's is.

However, it's certainly not fair to compare TM to a teenager who was engaging in criminal activity.

Yet, the Zimmerman case had nothing to do with the Stand your ground law, for it wasn't utilized at all in the case, because the case was simple self defense.

Why don't people instead stop talking about something that's completely irrelevant?

My question is do you agree with the verdict for the man who shot the teenage thief in Cinepro's link? This shooter certainly could have gotten away without killing the teenage thief if you accept the facts of the case. It doesn't appear that the teenager was armed either. Why run at someone if you can shoot him from a distance?

How can you be so insensitive. When you're punching someone in the face you can break an eye socket, break their nose, you can actually make someone hemorrhage (bleed out).

Why in the world was TM pounding GZ's head against the concrete? Why was he punching him in the face?
