Another crazy right wing theory in an attempt to smear this kid. The fact is the bag of skittles wasn't open, the drink was unopened, and there was no Robitussin on him. So he could not have been "on drugs" at the time, even if we want to entertain your desperate concept of what it is to be "on drugs." Robitussin is not an illegal drug and would make a person more relaxed and calm, not violent. But Zimmermans was intoxicated on the worst drug of all. Hate and bigotry. His comment "these assholes always get away" is a clear indication that he already concluded Martin was guilty of something and he was determined to see that he doesn't "get away."

And Martin's height doesn't mean anything since he was still a scrawny kid and much lighter than Zimmerman, a grown man! That this kid managed to get the best of Zimmerman while wrestling on the ground is telling. Zimmerman is just over 200 lbs and Martin was a mere 158 lbs. Anyone who knows anything about fighting knows the advantage goes to the heavier guy, which is why they go by weight class in professional fighting. The only way Martin would have an advantage were is if they were standing up boxing. But they were wrestling on the ground. Zimmerman should have been able to easily get the upper hand, but it is as if he wanted the kid to be on top so he could put on a show for whomever was watching. That way he could justify firing his gun. But even still, why shoot the kid in the chest unless he was trying to kill him? Shooting the gun anywhere in any direction would be enough to scare him off.
So either Zimmerman was the biggest pussy in the state of Florida, or he was setting the stage to do what he had set out to do from the beginning: make sure another "asshole doesn't get away" this time.
