From the SF Airport Plane Crash

SF Airport crash pilot and crew names, as misreported by SF TV Station.

Apparently someone at NTSB confirmed these crew names to the TV Station newsroom. Nope, you can't make this stuff up, except in this case someone did.

That's incredibly funny (definitely a contender for practical joke of the year, and probably decade).

But what's the last one?

The last one is the crash sound effects with someone saying "Ow". The pilot names are listed in order of the events.

The video is hilarious. The anchor just reads the names from the teleprompter without even a hint that something might be wrong. The only thing that would have been funnier is if she ended the broadcast with "Go F--- yourself, San Diego."

The airline is suing. I think it's the airline, too lazy to look it up.

John Suchocki, a former 727 captain, provided perhaps the most accurate re-construction of the Asiana 777 crash.

Asiana Flt 214 Reconstruction

Aircraft have a "glide slope" for landing, and First Officer Wi To Lo was, well, too low, below the glide slope. At 200 feet "minimums" is called, which means that the pilot landing the plane has to decide at that point whether to continue the descent and landing, or abort. When the crew realised they were too low, it was too late. They powered the engines during the last few seconds to try to gain altitude, which caused the tail to dip and hit the wall at the beginning of the runway.

I'd like to know who the "News Station" was since the translation of the Korean script to the right is: Ha Ha News.

In other words, was it a Korean news station or just some Internet guy?

I don't remember the name of the station, but I believe the newscaster's name was Whey Tu Dum.
