But that is worse than just dumb. Literally NONE of it is true.

All of it is true. When your only argument is that you don't like Ben Stein, then you have lost.

I do not relate much to Ben Stein. I was put off by a presentation of his I once saw where he explored the theory that evolution was a conspiracy by school teachers hiding information. I might by pure prejudice see his political views as much the same sort of theorizing. That is prejudice on my part so in some sense I have lost. But I have no clue what I have lost. I am not arguing with your politics. I cannot imagine how to begin to argue with your political views. I just do not know why you think these things. They are strange. All I see is an image of you living in the center of some nightmare, kind of like the image which you started this tread with.

And why no mention of the regulatory nightmare of doing anything in the land of fruits and nuts?
And what about their robust failing economy?
And their dismal pollution?
Etc...

What is the problem you have with compton? Is it because there are too many black-folk for your liking? Aesthetically, its a pretty typical inner-city neighborhood but there are some amazing little gems you can find if you can get over your fear of black-people and check it out.

by the way, some the best tacos I have ever had were found in compton...

Oh yea, bakersfield is a sh#$hole:

Lol - my grandfather owned a large portion of Cherry Valley for 60 years of his life and lived off the "fruits and nuts" he grew...he died a very wealthy democrat...Since the "fruit and nut" industry in California is still huge and farming is a major part of our economy, I'm not really sure what you are talking about (as usual). Are you talking about the freeway "fruit and nut" inspection stops? lol...

Was that supposed to make sense?

Anyway...thanks for the slow pitch, as usual, you made a fool of yourself...Take off the tin-foil hat, turn off the AM radio and get out of the house sometime....Now:

My business has to be within a few miles of my clients, and they're in California and don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

I've actually looked at the possibility of moving the business to Nevada or Arizona, but it was a no-go.

Great pictures indeed...nothing misleading there....anyone who has ever been surely gasps at the beauty...or likely gasps for other reasons...

the EPA says when the Air Quality Index for an area climbs above 100 (ratings range from zero to 500, with zero being the best) it can bring on respiratory problems for people with lung disease, children and older adults. Above 150, everyone can suffer. Most cities don’t even have a single day each year when the AQI is above 100. But Bakersfield, Calif., which ranks second on our list, had 43 such days in 2009, Fresno (No. 3) had 29 days, and Los Angeles (No. 6) had 14.

no other state even had two cities on the list - California excels once again

not really a business friendly state either

California stands out as being among the most poorly governed. America's most populous state has been mired in debt and political unrest for nearly a decade. It bears the unique honor of being the only state considered economically unstable enough to have its debts rated at an A- by S&P. It ranks 42nd in the country in health insurance coverage, despite having a state-sponsored health insurance program. The Golden State also ranks 48th in high school completion.

Ranks 49th on the Atlantic's list of best to worst performing states (hey, at leasy KY is worse...but look at these pics of KY)
