Best cities to live

Post by _Albion »

In a top ten list of the world's most livable cities, seven of the ten is either in Australia or Canada. Top for the third year running was Melbourne, followed by Vienna, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Adelaide, Sydney, Helsinki, Perth and Auckland. Top rated US cities were Honolulu at 26 and Pittsburg at 30. The annual list is compiled by The Economist's Intelligence Unit as an aid to corporate relocation. The criteria used are stability, healthcare, education, infrastructure, culture, and environment. Apparently from the perspective of this study there is no paradise in the US.

I saw that too. It seems that healthcare was one of the top criteria for the study. Is it any wonder that the U.S. falls so low.

In a study on healthcare efficiency, the U.S. was 46th.

It's remarkable how low America places in healthcare efficiency: among the 48 countries included in the Bloomberg study, the U.S. ranks 46th, outpacing just Serbia and Brazil. Once that sinks in, try this one on for size: the U.S. ranks worse than China, Algeria, and Iran.

I guess it doesn't matter how nice your town is if you die young from preventable diseases.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.
