Now and then I get the strong impression that you may well be one of the most diabolical critics of the LDS Church ever to post here. Your resurrection of this particular thread, at his particular time, reinforces that impression, yet again.

What could be more devastating to the testimony of a doubting Mormon than to lurk here hoping to see faithful answers from a faithful member to the hard questions and critical opinions that rain down upon Mormonism daily, then to slowly figure out that you, as their hoped-for champion, are really a brilliant master of parody - one who understands well the significance of Poe's Law?

Your faith in me as a double agent is strong. You do indeed hope for things which are not seen, but sadly for you in this case, are not true. It never ceases to amaze, but not surprise, me how quickly the anti-Mopologists turn to either invective or, in this case, fanciful thoughts which rival those of the X-Files or black helicopter crowds.

I would have sat down with them on the internet. One of them already had a personal well poisoning regarding FAIR/FARMS. I would have subjected them to FAIR/FARMS detail by detail because the well poisoning generally has no basis for most any issue and they would have seen the details and references missed by the critics.
